| The US headquarters of a major manufacturing/distribution company in Glendale is hiring a full-time Business Analyst for the Health area in the Human Resources department. Annualized salary is $100,000 - $130,000 (absolute maximum, under $120,000 preferred). |
| Responsibilities |
| This position reports to the Team Lead of Health, Pension, and Savings and is responsible for working with peers and business units to: identify user requirements, develop designs to support business processes, and recommend solutions related to Health Benefits. In addition, the position will assist with the development, testing, and support of a global SAP Human Resources implementation. This will include analyzing and understanding business challenges, mapping current business processes to new systems, identifying business process and organizational change impacts, and resolving issues that affect business processes. The Business Analyst will also write functional specifications, develop appropriate test scenarios and scripts, analyze test results, document process and system problems and work with the technical team to resolve them. The position will ensure that a design being implemented supports operating objectives and business requirements and utilizes best practices. In addition, the Business Analyst collaborates with project managers to ensure that the delivered system matches the specified functionality. Key responsibilities will include: • Provide on-going production support, regularly monitor and update service desk help tickets; provide user assistance, collaborate with appropriate teams to get system fixes tested and implemented. • Design and implement business processes using best practices to satisfy business requirements. • Collaborate with business users to design, develop, test, and implement process or system enhancements and production support solutions. • Provide business analysis for the human resources functional area, collaborate with application specialists to develop functional/technical specifications and change requests. |
| Qualifications & Requirements |
| Required Experience: • 3 - 5 years of experience in a relevant functional area, such as finance, human resources or logistics; preferably with ERP applications. • Two or more years of experience working on the implementation of an ERP package or other complex IT applications • Two or more years developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems. • Two years experience with business processes related to Health Benefits and Human Resources. • Familiarity with SAP Benefits with the ability to navigate throughout the system and access data. The Business Analyst must be knowledgeable with at least one SAP module as well as being familiar with SAP project management. • Experience in a CPG environment is preferred. Other requirements: • Conceptual knowledge of information technologies and methodologies; specific knowledge with ERP functional processes and tools is critical. • Strong analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret business requirements and translate them into functional specifications. • Excellent verbal and written skills, organizational and time-management abilities. • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including aptitude for mentoring and coaching others, and the ability to work with personnel at all organizational levels. • Flexibility and adaptability to the demands and requirements of a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities; ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously. • Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to complex problems that may not have one clear answer; the ability to identify alternatives, workarounds or temporary solutions. • The ability to challenge the status quo and recommend new methods and solutions to problems and issues. • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Outlook. |
