The SAP Financial Applications Lead will manage the SAP Financial Applications Team. He/She will oversee and participate in the requirements definition, design, build, testing, deployment, documentation and maintenance of SAP financial solutions. At present, the SAP modules relevant to this position are primarily FI as well as the corresponding finance integration points with MM and SD (e.g. contracts, billing, GR/IR clearing, etc.). In the future, this position may also oversee and participate in configuration and support of SAP financial planning solutions as well as a financial consolidation solution. He/She will have expert knowledge of SAP’s financial modules, standards/best practices, and implementation methodology. He/She will be experienced in architecting SAP financial solutions, doing hands-on configuration within the finance modules and managing an SAP financial applications team. He/She will demonstrate leadership by proactively recommending application and process improvements that will benefit finance users, manage risk and minimize total cost of ownership for SAP finance applications. He/She will encourage best practices and will oversee the quality of IT work within the SAP finance modules. He/she will be able to communicate effectively with finance department leadership, end users, and team members alike in order to ensure proper documentation of requirements, to guide key design decisions, and to maintain a strong collaborative relationship between IT and Finance. He/she will learn, and where needed oversee the documentation of company financial business processes. He/She will excel in managing a team. He/She will be dedicated to expanding his/her knowledge base and that of his/her team members. The ability to multitask and coordinate work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment is imperative, as is the ability to coordinate efforts with others toward achieving departmental and company goals.

Responsibilities

Working with Finance leadership, the company user community, and other IT team leads to define business issues and solutions
Planning and managing the work of the SAP Financial Applications Team, overseeing the quality of work done by the team, and reporting status to IT leadership
Overseeing day to day support of SAP financials applications
Evaluating new functionality delivered by SAP
Managing the functional aspects/testing of support pack implementations and upgrades
Ensuring completeness and accuracy of project and production support documentation
Managing the growth and development of SAP Financial Applications Team members
Supporting and adhering to application change management polices and procedures

Qualifications & Requirements

At least 5 years of SAP FI/CO configuration experience with an emphasis on FI
At least 2 years of SAP FI/CO team lead experience
Expert knowledge of financial processes such as contract-to-cash and procure-to-pay
Strong analytical and systems design skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional skills preferred:

Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution in Information Systems, Business, Accounting, Computer Science or Engineering preferred but not required
Entertainment industry experience preferred but not required
