| The US headquarters of a major manufacturing/distribution company in Glendale is hiring a full-time Systems Analyst ( Configuration Analyst ) for the SAP Payroll Module and E-Time systems. Annualized salary is $100,000 - $130,000 (absolute maximum, under $120,000 preferred). |
| Responsibilities |
| This position reports to the Payroll Team Lead and is responsible for working with peers and business units to develop, maintain, and enhance the SAP system from a functional and technical standpoint. Systems Analysts have in-depth technical experience related to the SAP PR module and E-Time systems, and work to identify user requirements, assess available technologies, and recommend solutions related to Payroll processes. In addition, the systems analyst assists with development, testing, and support activities related to the implementation of the SAP PR module. This includes analyzing and understanding technical challenges, configuring systems to support identified business processes, and resolving technical issues affecting business process. The individual occupying this position writes functional specifications, develops appropriate test scenarios and scripts, and analyzes test results. The individual occupying this position also works with SAP developers to customize SAP functionality in one or more functional areas for new and existing system deployments. They also provide technical support and expertise in resolving identified application issues and problems. The incumbent will ensure that a design being implemented is inline with best practices from a technical and architectural perspective. In addition, the incumbent collaborates with project managers to ensure that the system delivers the functionality specified. The individual in this position is competent in at least one SAP module and is familiar with SAP and other IT technologies. They are able to regularly coach other team members and assist others so that project deadlines are met. This position requires excellent communications skills and accountability for the quality of efforts and deliverables. Key responsibilities will include: • Provide on-going production support, regularly monitor status of systems hosting business applications, resolve service desk help tickets; provide technical assistance to customers, collaborate with appropriate teams to implement and test system fixes. • Support the configuration of defined processes using best practices to satisfy business requirements; collaborate with business users and colleagues to design, develop, test, and implement process or system enhancements and production support solutions. • Provide technical analysis for the Payroll functional area; collaborate with application specialists to develop functional/technical specifications and change requests. |
